Training Information
Important information for learners attending security and first aid training courses delivered by Contact Front Security.
Our courses are delivered by experienced instructors in professional training environments. The information below explains what to expect before attending your course and outlines important requirements for learners.
Do I Need To Complete Any Learning Before My Course?
Some courses include pre-course learning, particularly SIA Door Supervisor and refresher qualifications delivered through blended learning.
Where pre-course learning is required, learners must complete this work before attending the classroom training session. Details and access to learning materials will be provided after booking.
Failure to complete required pre-course learning may result in learners being unable to continue with the course.
What Should I Bring To My Training Course?
Please ensure you bring the following when attending your course:
- Valid photo identification
- Comfortable clothing suitable for practical training
- Notebook and pen for course notes
- Confirmation of your course booking
Some courses include practical elements such as physical intervention training, so clothing suitable for movement is recommended.
What Identification Do I Need For An SIA Training Course?
Learners attending SIA training courses must bring valid photographic identification.
The Security Industry Authority (SIA) requires specific identity documents when applying for an SIA licence. Guidance on acceptable documents can be found on the official government website:
Check accepted SIA licence identity documents
Examples of identification may include:
- Passport
- Driving licence
- Military ID
Failure to provide valid identification may result in learners being unable to complete the course.
Do I Need First Aid Before Attending An SIA Course?
Some SIA qualifications require learners to hold a valid Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) certificate.
Where required, first aid training may either be included as part of the course programme or must be completed before attending the qualification course.
Any first aid requirements will be clearly stated on the course information page.
How Are Security Training Courses Assessed?
Security training courses normally include both knowledge assessments and practical assessments.
These may include:
- Multiple-choice examinations
- Practical scenario assessments
- Physical intervention assessments (where applicable)
Our instructors ensure learners are fully prepared before completing assessments.
When Will I Receive My Certificate?
Training courses delivered by Contact Front Security are awarded through recognised awarding bodies such as Highfield Qualifications.
After successfully completing the course and all required assessments, learners will receive certification confirming the qualification achieved.
Certification times may vary depending on the awarding body.
