Who Should Attend This Door Supervisor Refresher Course

This course is designed for existing SIA Door Supervisor licence holders who need to renew their licence and update their qualification in line with current SIA requirements.

It is suitable for security professionals working in licensed venues, events, retail security or other frontline roles who must maintain an active Door Supervisor licence.

The course is also appropriate for individuals whose SIA licence has recently expired and who need to complete refresher training before reapplying.

Course Requirements

Learners must hold a current or recently expired SIA Door Supervisor licence.

Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) training is included as part of this course and is delivered before the refresher training begins. This ensures learners meet the SIA requirements for licence renewal without needing to complete a separate First Aid qualification beforehand.

Participants must also be able to take part in practical physical intervention training as part of the course assessment.

Certification & Accreditation

Upon successful completion of the course, learners will receive the Level 2 Award for Door Supervisors in the Private Security Industry (Refresher).

Learners will also receive the Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) qualification, which is required for SIA licence renewal.

Both qualifications are required when applying to renew a Door Supervisor licence with the Security Industry Authority (SIA).
